Vad är indiska kläder och är det fortfarande någon som använder traditionella kläder? I de indiska storstäderna har de västerländska kläderna fått ett litet fotfäste, främst bland män och yngre personer (oavsett kön), men det är fortfarande de inhemska plaggen som dominerar stadsbilden. Precis som språken och maten skiljer sig klädesdräkterna sig något åt mellan olika delar av landet.

Choli är en midjekort, oftast kortärmad och tajt, blus som bärs till sari eller lehenga (även kallad gypsy-kjol eller gopi-kjol). Det har nu även blivit populärt med rygglösa Choli där man bara knyter den bak på ryggen med snören. Köper man finare märken av choli kan man få sorter med inbyggd bh och detta är att föredra om man ska ha en öppen rygg. När man köper ett sarityg så är oftast en bit av detta tyg tillägnat just en choli där man klipper biten och syr sin topp för att den ska matcha sarin.
