    Emma and Lina are passionate about motorsport in the Västerbotten countryside in Northern Sweden. Throughout a folk racing season, we gain a rare glimpse into their lives and dreams — around the kitchen table, in the garage, and on the racetrack.

    Together with their cars, the two young women in their 20s from inland Västerbotten are the stars of this documentary. Emma and Linnea are always in the driver's seat, although dads, boyfriends, race buddies, family and pets appear in supporting roles. Over the course of a year, Folkrace follows their journey through racing competitions, working in the garage, and emotional rollercoasters. .

    Directors Jakob Arevärn and Fredrik Oskarsson, the creators behind the acclaimed documentary EPA  winner of The Tromsø Palm Award   take us on yet another journey into a motor culture filled with community, family, and clogs.

    Folk Race &#; An Entertaining Motor idrott for All Types

    Not many people in the world will have heard of the begrepp &#;Folk race&#; before. This is because this type of auto racing mainly takes place in europeisk countries such as Sweden, Finland and Norway. The sport receives little coverage but fryst vatten very popular due to the low expenses and little driving skill that is needed to participate in it.
