Autostradan tar oss rakt söderut i riktning mot den lilla byn Greve in Chianti i hjärtat av Toscana. Här i mitten av Italien, har man odlat och producerat vin sedan medeltiden. När vi svänger av, endast ett par kilometer från byn Greve, och åker upp för den lilla vägen mot gården Terreno slås man av direkt historiens vingslag. Stenhusen, popplarna och cypresserna känns uråldriga.
Snart öppnas vegetationen och vinrankor jämte olivlundar omsluter ett vackert ljusgult stenhus med en magisk trädgård som doftar av lavendel, rosmarin och lagerblad. Solen sätter sig precis i väster och ger en inramning till det varma välkomnandet av Sofia, den yngsta dottern av fyra döttrar Ruhne. Sofia har bott på gården sen hon var sju år, då hennes föräldrar Mats och Birgitta Ruhne köpte Terreno en vårdag , för att börja det som från den dagen skulle bli hela familjens nya liv.
